iTAK / TAK Aware - Setup Guide

Here is how to setup your iPhone or iPad device on your TAK server for iTAK / Tak Aware


​TAK Aware APP Setup Guide:

  • In your "Welcome to sat.vkintsys.com" email download the attached: _itakyourname.zip make sure to download the file to "on this iPhone" folder.

  • Open TAK Aware app

  • Tap the settings ( ☰ ) icon

  • Tap on Connect to a TAK Server

  • Select "Upload Data Package"

  • Select "_itakyourname.zip" in recent files that you downloaded earlier
    ​You should now be connected to your Tak server

TAK Aware - Flight Tactics

iTak APP Setup Guide:

  • Open iTAK app

  • Tap the settings ( ⚙︎ ) icon

  • Tap on Network

  • Tap Servers

  • Tap ( + ) button bottom right

  • Select "Upload Data Package"

  • Select "_itakyourname.zip" in recent files that you downloaded earlier
    ​You should now be connected to your Tak server
